Amazing, slow-burning boner of a song.
In case you didn't know this little tidbit, The Idiot was the soundtrack to Ian Curtis' death.
"Unlike the uncertainties that surround the deaths of other rock legends like Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, and the disappearance of Manic Street Preachers lead singer Richey Edwards, the pieces of Curtis’ suicide seem to be thoughtfully considered and placed. Before hanging himself in the kitchen, he watched a a favorite film, Werner Herzog’s 'Stroszek,' and listened to Iggy Pop’s album “The Idiot,” which was still spinning on the turntable when he was found."
